Affinity
Affinity is the element that a unit is naturally attuned to. These affinities come with a unit at creation (decided at birth), and can never be changed. Affinities are important in a game as they can bring bonuses to units that share support bonds when within a range of three spaces. During character creation, the player/GM must roll to decide a unit's affinity. When deciding an affinity, follow this table:

Based on a unit's support with another unit within range, the unit will gain bonuses when entering battle. When entering battle, units with the following supports within the three space range are as follows:

For example, Unit #1 has an affinity of Fire. Unit #2 has an affinity of Thunder. When these two units have a support rank of B, the following battle stats go up:
* Unit #1 gains +1 defense/resistance (depending on type of attack), a +5% chance to make a successful hit, a +5% chance to make a critical hit and a +5% chance to avoid a critical hit.
* Unit #2 gains +1 strength/magic *depending on type of attack), a +5% chance to make a successful hit, a +5% chance to dodge an attack, and a +5% chance to make a critical hit.

So, if Unit #1 would originally have an 85 hit rate and 3 crit rate against an enemy, and would deal 7 damage, the supports would cause these stats to rise to a 90 hit rate, 8 crit rate, and 7 damage. The enemy Unit #1 faces deals 1 less damage, and crit rate is lowered by 5.
